I am delighted to support the Cochrane South Asian Conclave 2027 and congratulate the organising team on bringing together this important regional event. By fostering collaboration across countries, disciplines and communities, we can help ensure that high-quality, trustworthy evidence is generated, shared and used to improve health outcomes for everyone.

This Conclave will provide valuable opportunities to build capacity, exchange knowledge, and explore how global evidence can be applied to address local priorities and challenges. Evidence is both produced and used in different social, cultural, and economic contexts across the world, and what works in one region may not be as effective in another.

The event will explore how to translate global evidence into local impact, implemented equitably. In an age where scientific evidence is growing in quantity, but not always quality, it can be difficult for users to know what evidence to trust and how to apply it. I look forward to following the discussions and learning from the insights and innovations that emerge.
